Annotations! Ant-no-take-sion

Argh... am gog nuts from all the annotations already!! Have been looking at the protein sequences, and the databases, cracking my head all day long on how best to annotate the signal transduction proteins.. oh man.. think my myopia is gog to be even worst after this.. 12 down and 82 more proteins to go!!! argh!!!!

Anyway, finally managed to get my student card and my ANZ atm card too.. haha.. i feel like laughing at my photo everytime i see my student card.. haha.. another toopid thing is that the student card will actually expire! It expire anually! Wtf. I wonder y? Wouldn't it be better and more convienent to expire only after we finish our course, like in NUS?? What are they afraid of? hmm... but anyway, the ANZ atm card looks nice yeah.. blue in colour .. my fav..

yup yup.. anyway, today tried a new dish.. haha..

And the ball starts rolling....

Finally, got to meet up with my boss, and discuss with about my project. Well, as of now, I'll be helping out with the annotation of M.burtonii genome, and towards the later stage to verify the annotation experimentally. Hopefully, I will be able to find some interesting proteins from the annotation, and take it from there. So, most likely I'll work from home these few days, as it's most computer-based analysis... which is good! I get to wake up late! hahaha..

Bought some food from Coles as well, argh.. keep on spending money... not wise not wise.. probably I should start plan my menu and ration my food, so that i'll not spend so much on food hahah.. yeah, a good idea to come up with a weekly menu and follow it.. so that I will not anyhow buy food stuffs that are non-essential... Anyway, i'm quite satisfy with my dinner.. after so many days of prawns, eggs, broccoli etc, I'm glad there is some new addition to my dinner. =D

Slacking away .. while I still can...

Well... planned to wake up early at 9 plus to go for the 'Arriving & Surviving' session organised by the ISS... but woke up at 11plus instead! haha.. so much for gog to the talk...

So proceeded to do some admin registeration with the BABS office.. and wanted to meet up with my boss... but then, he wasn't in the office as he's on MC.. So, basically, nothing much to do today.. except to go over to Cole's to do some shopping..
Probably the only exciting part of the day is when I wanna cook my dinner! haha.. Well, I can't cook for a start, so its like doing experiment for me.. trial and error.. I decided to cook fried rice, so I cooked the rice first and put them into the freezer. Subsequently, went on to stir fry the prawns and veg.. then added in the rice and eggs.. haha.. it sure smell nice..
Guess what, its a good dish, only if you are diabetics such that you cannot eat salty stuffs etc... lol.. well, its kinda blend.. hey, it's my first time doing fried rice ok!? well, it sure is a healthy dinner, since I used olive oil to cook as well... Must remember to add more salt the next time round..
